Katavi National Park Remote Safari

Katavi National Park, Tanzania

About this experience

Katavi, in far western Tanzania, is one of the country’s most remote parks. In the dry season, shrinking rivers and floodplains draw huge herds of buffalo, crowded hippo pools and the predators that follow them.

With very few camps, it feels like safari as it used to be. Game drives and guided walks are the main activities.

Highlights

  • True wilderness with few camps
  • Dry-season buffalo herds
  • Dense hippo gatherings
