How we travel Uganda

Plan this country

Why visit

Mountain gorillas in Bwindi, chimpanzees in Kibale, Kazinga boat light and a country that is more than a single trek. Uganda is forest, river and savannah in one passport.

Best time

June to September and December to February are the more reliable trekking windows. Permits are the constraint — we secure them before the lodge conversation.

Safari styles

Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking, Queen Elizabeth or Murchison savannah days, Nile time, and Tooro golf when the itinerary still has a pulse.

Ideal duration

Six to ten nights for forests plus one savannah park; longer if Jinja or the north is part of the story.

Best for

Travellers who will walk for a wild encounter, and anyone pairing primates with classic game drives.
