About this experience

Nxai Pan National Park protects fossil pans and grassland on the northern edge of the Makgadikgadi. After the rains, zebra, springbok and giraffe gather here, followed by predators.

A visit usually includes Baines’ Baobabs, a group of ancient trees painted by the artist Thomas Baines in the 1860s, which stand almost unchanged on the edge of a salt pan.
