Gorilla permits lead the calendar. June–September and December–February are the more reliable trekking windows.

Climate

Uganda’s equatorial climate stays green for much of the year. Days are warm; forest treks can feel humid. Two rainy seasons — March to May and October to November — require sturdy footwear and flexible scheduling.

Best time to visit

June to September and December to February are the most reliable trekking windows. We secure permits early and build recovery nights around forest days.
