About this experience

Near Kinigi, close to Volcanoes National Park headquarters, the Gorilla Guardians Village is a community cultural centre where local people share Rwandan traditions. Visitors can see intore dance, try traditional archery and grinding grain, visit a replica royal house and learn about the use of medicinal plants.

The project was set up to create income for communities living around the park, including some former poachers.
