Semuliki Hot Springs & Forest Walk

Semuliki National Park, Uganda

About this experience

Semuliki National Park protects a lowland forest that is an eastern extension of the Congo Basin. A guided walk leads to the Sempaya hot springs, where boiling water bubbles up and steam rises between the trees.

The forest is a highlight for birders, with many central African species, and primates such as grey-cheeked mangabeys are sometimes seen.

  • Congo-basin forest birds
  • Off-the-beaten-track park
