About this experience

The Congo Nile Trail follows the shore of Lake Kivu for about 227 kilometres, crossing hills between the Congo and Nile watersheds. Cyclists and hikers can tackle short sections in a day, or ride for several days between Rubavu and Rusizi.

The route climbs through tea and coffee plantations and villages, with sweeping lake views. Support vehicles and guides can be arranged.
