About this experience

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, on the slopes of the Virunga volcanoes, is Uganda’s home of the endangered golden monkey. Guided treks follow habituated troops through bamboo forest, where the monkeys’ bright orange coats flash between the stems.

The walk is gentler than a gorilla trek and the monkeys are lively and photogenic. It pairs well with gorilla trekking in Mgahinga or nearby Bwindi.
