About this experience

If a summit climb is not for you, a guided day hike from Marangu Gate lets you walk on Kilimanjaro’s slopes. The trail climbs through montane rainforest, with birdlife and opportunities to see colobus monkeys, towards Mandara Hut, the first overnight stop on the Marangu route.

It is a satisfying outing from Moshi, with a real sense of the mountain and none of the altitude of a full trek.
